For the past 5 or 6 weeks I've had the opportunity to teach basic French to 2nd-3rd graders at our homeschool co-op. (My classes will continue for the next 3 weeks.)

It is such a blessing to share a bit of language and culture with these kids - and we have a blast doing it! The kids are learning how to politely introduce themselves to one another in French and they get up and move by doing action words in French - which, of course, ends with them jumping over the lava.

It's been great to see them build up their confidence by acting out a short dialogue with another classmate that they wouldn't normally interact with. I encourage silliness and fun while maintaining order and respect for one another.

I'm looking forward to the next few weeks with these kids! I hope that a few of them come away with a love for languages. I pray that God will use each child for His glory.
